Our Season of Harvest

Writer: Grace Sanctuary Grace Sanctuary

Welcome to the new month that marked the historic crucifixion, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ; the fulcrum of our Christian faith. May you be a partaker of the finished work of the cross in Jesus name. We have this assurance in Romans 8:32 which says ‘He who did not spare His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? If He brought you this far, you can be rest assured that He will take you to your expected end triumphantly.

I encourage you not to be weary in your work and your labor of love for the Kingdom of God, because your season of harvest is here. I pray that you will begin to reap the fruits of your labor in Jesus name.

And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” Galatians 6:9

Harvest season is a time to reap what you have sown. A time to enjoy the fruit of your labor including days of sacrificing time, money, alms giving, commitments, faithfulness, diligence, ceaseless fasting and prayer etc. Harvest is a resultant effect of many actions done.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 – To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted

For farmers, harvest season is not a time to sleep or fold hands at home; it is another time of working round the clock to bring in crops yields from the farm although with great joy especially if the yield is in abundance. Psalm 126:5 says they that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Therefore, you must not relent in your fervency in prayers and other spiritual activities so as to sustain your harvest and not to give room for harvest destroyers to either deny you of your harvest or spoil your harvest.

I encourage you to be prepared for the harvest by being in the right place at the right time doing the right things. Proverbs 10:5 says that ‘He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.

However, the greatest harvest which you must be actively involved in order to sustain your own harvest is that which the Lord Jesus mentioned in Luke 10:2;

Then He said to them, ‘The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest”.

Are you willing and ready to be part of this great harvest? Are you willing to harvest souls into the kingdom by witnessing to them in words and in the quality of life you live in righteousness? (2Cor 3:2). Your role in the great harvest directly impact on your overall harvest. Therefore, heed the call to be a part of the laborers the Lord is sending into the great harvest.

Remember, your harvest is largely determined by the actions you take now.

Do have a bountiful harvest.

Shalom!
